Our client, a German based international player, is an independent payment service provider that offers a wide range of payment processing services, international merchant accounts and IPSP accounts. The company provides online and mobile payment solutions through its own international banking network, and its own connected alternative payment solutions. A new development team is currently being established in Thessaloniki. It has both the mindset & originality of an exciting start up, with lean/agile practices, a flat hierarchy, but with the stability & security of being a world-famous organization as well.

For the new office in Thessaloniki (Greece) we are currently looking for a:

Quality Assurance Engineer (m/w/d)

For full-time and permanent employment. Onsite or hybrid.

Job description

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you are responsible for maintaining and improving the existing quality of the product, while testing new functionalities that will be deployed to production. You collaborate with cross functional and cross international development teams, as well as with team leads and architects, to deliver consistent and reliable app experiences

Your responsibilities

  • Review acceptance criteria and create the proper test scenarios.

  • Design, implement and maintain clean and up-to-date Test Plans.

  • Support in the estimation and planning of Test Automation activities.

  • Improve Quality Assurance by promoting QA processes (BDD).

  • Implement and execute automated Test Cases (APIs and UI tests).

  • Evaluate and report based on test results to identify potential quality issues.

  • Participate in scrum activities within your team.

Your profile

  • University degree in Computer Science or Training in the IT Sector.

  • Experienced in Software Testing in an Agile Scrum or SAFe environment.

  • Hands-on experience in testing client-server applications on the web.

  • Experienced in automation frameworks (Selenium/ Cypress).

  • Experienced in mobile automation (Appium, Webdriver IO).

  • Knowledge of BDD process and writing syntax (Cucumber/ Gherkin

  • Experienced in an object-oriented Computer Language, ideally JS/Java.

  • Familiar with CI/CD – Jenkins, AWS, GitHub/GitLab actions.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).

  • ISTQB Certification will be considered a plus.

  • Good structured and solution oriented.

  • Team player with excellent communication skills, eager to improve and bring new ideas.

  • Proactive, honest who loves new challenges.
